Weekend Waiver Wire

Welcome fantasy managers to another edition of the Weekend Waiver Wire. It is time once again to take a look at what goaltenders may be available as a streaming option this weekend to help you take down your fantasy matchups. This week will be short and sweet!

Let’s get to it!

Elvis Merzlikins - Columbus Blue Jackets (24% owner on Yahoo / 44% owned on Fantrax)
Jet Greaves - Columbus Blue Jackets (33% owned on Yahoo / 62% owned on Fantrax)

A two-for-one special as both netminders should see action this weekend with winnable matchups against the St.Louis Blues (Sat) and New York Islanders (Sun). Favorable matchups to say the least as both the Blues and Islanders have had their struggles so far while the Blue Jackets have had a solid if unspectacular start to the season going 6-4 in their first ten games. That being said, both Columbus netminders have had decent starts with Merzlikins holding down a 4-1 record accompanied by a 2.97 goals against and .915 save percentage with running mate Greaves owning a 2-3 record to go along with a 2.81 goals against and .907 save percentage. Pick your poison between two decent streamers for and up and coming Blue Jackets squad.

Jake Allen - New Jersey Devils (43% owned on Yahoo / 50% owned on Fantrax)

Simply put Jake Allen has been incredible to start the 2025-2026 NHL season with incumbent Jacob Markstrom just now making his way back from injury. Allen has fashioned himself an undefeated record of 5-0 with a sparkling 1.93 goals against and phenomenal .923 save percentage while helping the Devils remain red hot to begin the campaign. Scheduled matchups against the Los Angeles Kings (Sat) and Anaheim Ducks (Sun) are certainly favorable from a New Jersey perspective regardless of each club's winning record. If you haven't already I suggest you add him immediately!

Charlie Lindgren - Washington Capitals (12% owned on Yahoo / 33% owned on Fantrax)

Aside from his first start of the season (a 1-0 shutout of the New York Rangers), the numbers have not been great for the Capitals backup as Lindgren has put up a 1-2 record with a bloated 3.72 goals against and .882 save percentage. Not exactly world beating numbers, however, Lindgren and a very solid Washington Capitals team may not need such an effort as they meet up with two beatable teams in the New York Islanders (Fri) and Buffalo Sabres (Sat).

I know that Lindgren got lit up by the Ottawa Senators for a 7-spot but both Lindgren and the Capitals themselves are much better than that and I would fully expect a big bounce back from them both this coming weekend.

There you have it folks, some streaming options to consider for your fantasy squad heading into the weekend.
